Business Briefing: NC's Carbon Plan Process, What You Need to Know & How You Can Engage
You may heard about the North Carolina's Carbon Plan, currently being developed and debated before the NC Utilities Commission (NCUC). With a Commission approval deadline of the end of the year, implementation of the Carbon Plan will undoubtedly impact most North Carolinians and businesses.

Please join Ceres, Chambers for Innovation & Clean Energy (CICE), Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA), and NC Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) for a briefing on the North Carolina Carbon Plan process and what you need to know on Wednesday, June 22nd at 11:00am (EST).

This briefing is designed to provide you and other North Carolina businesses, institutions, chambers of commerce and other stakeholders with:

* An overview of the Carbon Plan process (docket) currently pending before the NC Utilities Commission and timeline of activities over the next several months;
* A recap of the proposed Carbon Plan filed by Duke Energy in mid-May and identify areas of the proposal that do not align with the state’s emission reduction targets and underutilize clean energy resource;
* A preview of the comments on Duke's proposal and alternative Carbon Plans expected to be filed by non-utility interveners in July; and
* Discuss opportunities for Duke Energy customers -- like yourself -- to engage in the NCUC’s Carbon Plan development process.

Please come with your questions, feedback and suggestions!
